FAQs
What is a newborn hospital photography session?
Photography session that takes place before you are discharged from the hospital, after your newborn's delivery. These hospital photo sessions are often called, "Fresh 48 Photography." During this 45-60-minute session, our photographer's goal is to capture you and your newborn's real first moments together. (Don't worry we do guide you with posing).
When should I reach out to schedule my newborn's hospital pictures?
We suggest booking this session 2 - 8 weeks before your due date to ensure availability. However, if you are in the hospital holding your newborn right now and you just realized you really want to have a great photographer come to your hospital room. Then, now is the best time to reach out.
How can I prepare for my hospital photography session?
Make sure you bring along your make-up bag to the hospital. No need for a full face of make-up, but a little mascara and concealer may come in handy. If you are not the make-up type or would rather not, a "naked" face is great too!
You will receive a prep guide with more tips and detailed information when you schedule your hospital session with us.
Only 5% of babies are born on their due date, what happens if baby comes earlier or later than expected?
Unless you are currently in labor, we do not set a date for these sessions until you deliver. We set a plan to make sure one of our photographers is available when baby decides to make their arrival. You, your hubby, or your designated communicator will send us a text when baby arrives, and we set a time before you are discharged to photograph at that time.
